Number, source and social entities represented

The fourth edition of the WASF will unite at least 3000 original participants of the 16 countries of West Africa.

A delegation of 5 members of the social organizations (trade unions, farmers' organizations, NGOs, groupings and associations of women and young peasants, communicators, etc.) of ECOWAS countries will be invited. The adjacent/neighboring countries will be able to take advantage of journey easiness by the road to make participate a maximum of representatives (Benin, Ghana, Burkina, Nigeria).

Some representatives of States, sub-regional organisms and institutions and several experts will be invited.

At the level of Togo, all social strengths and the Togolese State will be associated to this event. At the non state-controlled actor level, one will count on the various trade unions delegations, the various NGOs of development and human rights, the associations of women and youngsters of the various regions of Togo, etc. To the State-controlled level, besides the Togolese government and its administration, the parliamentarians and the various political party members will be invited. Indeed, if the West-African Social Forum is apolitical, it is on the other hand open to all contributions and propositions that stretch to find an answer to a non partisan, national and regional preoccupation: governance and food sovereignty.

The main activities of this meeting are: the march for peace in Africa, workshops and caucus, public conferences, exhibitions and cultural representations, press conferences, etc.

The involvement is free and open to all !

The Committee of organization informs the CSOs of the ECOWAS space that it cannot assure expenses of involvement/participation of more than 5 delegates by country. It then invites them to mobilize additional resources that can allow them to increase the number of their participants in the 4th WASF

Special young Implication

It will be arranged on the site of the Forum, a space named "Special Young implication in the Forum "to welcome the activities of youngsters in particular (exhibitions, conferences, and other cultural activities)
